Explanation Of Work:
The poster design is meant to reflect the connection between the Mississippi Delta region and that area’s rich musical heritage. This project was done to bring attention to the poverty and harsh living conditions of the Mississippi Delta, especially since it is often overlooked. For the design, I wanted to keep the color palette limited and to let the imagery speak for itself, only using a quote from a Muddy Waters song as copy.

Designer Biography:
I was born and raised in Bronx, New York. My interest in art began in high school where I started taking photographs of subway commuters. I was ultimately drawn to abstract color designs and independently began to make miniature pieces. I was accepted into Pratt Institute in 2008, and received in BFA in Communications Design in 2012.
